| I really need to start updating this thing! Well, classes have started. This past week was the first full week of classes. They seem to be okay, but I know they'll get worse. Living in the apartment with Amanda and Christin is great!!! I love living with them, they are the greatest roommates!!! But it's different living off campus. Um, I really haven't been up to much. Pretty much just hanging around the Creek for the most part.
Got back from the mountains this afternoon. I wish I could go more often, it's so beautiful!! Adam and I met my parents and someother people at my grandparents' house. It was so much fun! There's nothing there to distract you from nature and everything that God created!!! I'd have to say that it is one of my favorite places to be!!!!

Today we went to this huge street fair thing and I bought a very cute black "Gucci" purse. It says Gucci on it, but it was only $25 so I'm going to say it's not real, but hey it's still cute!!! We went outlet shopping, which is always fun! I found some good deals, which made me very happy!! Anyway, it was a great weekend!!!
So, something I've been thinking about lately. How do people change so much? I mean they have goals and know what they want to do with their lives and then they have nothing. Well, not nothing but they have wasted opportunites that they have been presented with. How can someone so smart, not succeed? How can they lose focus of where their life is going? How can they get so far off course? I just don't understand! | | |

| Hey! It's been a while since I last updated. Not a lot has been going on. We do have a couch for the apartment! That was great news to hear!! Now, we don't have to worry about buying one and moving it! This past weekend, my grandparents, my mom and I went to Houston for my cousin's wedding. We left New Bern Thursday afternoon, and met my aunt, uncle and cousins for dinner and then headed to the hotel in Raleigh for the night. Our flight was at 6:30 Friday morning, so I had to get up at 4 am!! I was not a happy camper. So we flew out of Raleigh at 6:30 and had a connection in Nashville, TN. We were in TN for about two hours, then we flew to Houston. I had never been to TX before! I was so excited. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel. It was a great hotel! We checked in at about 12 their time and then my mom and I decided that we wanted to go exploring! So, we got a taxi and went to the Galleria, which is this really big nice mall!!! You know me, I love shopping. So, we get out of the taxi and the first thing I see is Tiffany & Co.!!! Then we walk in the mall and the first store we come to is a Kate Spade store. We went in there and found some cute stuff. Well, they were having a sale and I found a cute leather keychain for half price and a really cute little paper scrapbook also on sale, so I made my first Kate Spade purchase. Then we walked about the mall some more, got some jeans and shirts, all on sale. Then we had to head back to the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. The dinner was at the Hobby Center and the restraunant called Artista. It was very nice!! The food was good, but in the room next to us, they were setting up this other party and come to find out it was for P. Diddy. We were supposed to have the restrauant until 11:30, but at 11 they started running us out because P. Diddy wanted that room as well. So, the rehearsal dinner was crashed by P. Diddy. Oh I almost forgot, outside the building was the Batmobile from the movie Batman Returns!! Saturday was the wedding, the ceremony was at 1 in a Spanish Catholic church. I had never been to a catholic wedding before, it was interesting. The reception wasn't until 6 that night, so we had all afternoon to kill. So, we went back to the mall!! We went to Tiffany's and I found several things I wanted!!!! Then we went to Neiman Marcus. They were having a sale and we started looking around. We went to the purses, of course, and I found this really cute black one with bright colored flowers on it. Well, I bought it and it's a Kate Spade. It was 50% off, so I got a really good deal. So, now I have a Kate Spade purse!!!!! The reception was nice. They had a cocktail hour from 6-7 with a Mariachi (spelling?) band, then dinner was served at 7, then they had a DJ and people were dancing. It was fun!!! Sunday we woke up and got ready to leave. Our flight left at 12:30 their time and we had a conncetion in Baltimore. We got to MD at about 5 our time. Adam was supposeed to meet us at the airport, but he didn't make it! I was very sad, but it was okay. Our flight to Raleigh was delayed so we didn't get to NC until 8ish and then we had to drive two hours home. Needless to say I was very tired by the time we got to New Bern. So, that's my update. I hope that you are all having a fabulous summer!!! I can't believe it's already June, the summer will be over before we know it!! Enjoy every minute of it!!!!!!! | | |
| Ok, so it's been a while since I last updated. I hope that everyone is having a great summer break!!! I haven't been up to too much. I work every morning at an accounting office from 8:30-12:30, so I have my afternoons open to do whatever I want, which is good. Other than working, not much has been going on. Adam was here this past weekend!! It was great to see him and spend time with him. He got here Thursday night, after work on Friday we went to the beach and spent the day. We had dinner at Sanitary. It was good. Saturday we ran around town. Adam experienced his first pig pickin' Saturday afternoon. It was a graduation party for two guys from our church. It was good, we had fun! After the party we went to Belk's, I the Sperry's I had wanted!!! And they were on sale, so that was even better!! Saturday night we cooked out hamburgers and watched a movie. Sunday we went to church, then lunch, and then went to my grandparents house to spend a little time at the river and then Adam had to leave.  But all in all it was a fabulous weekend and I am so glad that he came to visit!!!!!!!! So this week there's not anything exciting going on. Well, we have another graduation party to go to on Friday night, of course a pig pickin'...that's how we do things here in New Bern!! Well, that's all I have for now.
